PRESENCE. was founded by Deborah Davis.
Her relationship with the body began early —
fifteen years of classical ballet and stage dance,
years of boxing and running. Disciplines that
demanded much, and taught her how a body
truly moves.
What she teaches now is different.
Not movement as a means to an end,
but movement as something to be enjoyed.
Her training reflects both body and mind:
over a thousand hours of yoga education,
including a 300-hour yoga therapy
training across seven modules — from the spine
and nervous system to breath, stress and
recovery. A training in Nuad Thai massage
adds a skilled hands-on dimension to her work.
Alongside this, a systemic coaching
qualification from the INeKO Institute at the
University of Cologne, complemented by
hypnosystemic methods.
In her work, she also draws on somatic bodywork
and sound work — tools to reach the body
and settle the nervous system, in private
sessions and coaching alike.
Long before Palma de Mallorca,
she founded YOGA [MOVE:MENTS] —
two yoga studios in Cologne, Germany that
she leads to this day, and
where she trains the next generation of teachers in
200-hour trainings in Vinyasa and in Yin,
both registered with Yoga Alliance.
It taught her what scale cannot give:
the quiet attention of a small room,
the difference it makes to see one person fully,
when nothing is rushed.
This is the foundation of PRESENCE.
anatomical precision and a deep understanding
of the nervous system, held in a space that
asks nothing of you.
